Simple steps to a healthy lifestyle
Being your best isn’t always easy but it doesn’t have to be complicated.
Food fuels our bodies which is why a healthy diet is so important. When in doubt choose natural foods with as little processing as possible. Foods with deep rich colors offer a wealth of benefits such as antioxidants.
Exercise doesn’t have to mean hours in the weight room. Walking for twenty minutes stimulates the system and is a great start toward more vigorous exercise. If the weather is too cold or your knees can’t take the stress, try a beginner’s Pilates, Yoga or stretching class at a health club or in your home using a video or DVD. Proper exercise helps to reduce the chance of osteoporosis, heart disease, high blood pressure, injury, depression and more!
A good attitude can be as simple as choosing to be positive. And the more you practice, the better your success. Smiling can actually stimulate the endorphins that reach your brain that help to put you in a better mood.
See your doctor at least once a year for a physical. Catching a small problem before it becomes a large problem can be an invaluable life saver.
Write down your goals and read them every morning and evening and throughout the day. You can reach your goals and live a healthier lifestyle!
