Cardiovascular diseases are the number  one killer for U.S. men and women over the age of 45, and yet, more than 50% of victims of sudden death never saw it coming.

A woman’s risk of dying from cardiovascular disease is one in 2.6, while her risk of dying of breast cancer is one in 30.  Heart disease and stroke account for over 1 million deaths in the U.S. each year - that’s about one death every 35 seconds.

Heart Attack or Stroke - Are You Sure You're Safe?

Cardiovascular diseases are the number one killer for U.S. men and women over the age of 45, and yet, more than 50% of victims of sudden death never saw it coming.  A woman’s risk of dying from cardiovascular disease is one in 2.6, while her risk of dying of breast cancer is one in 30.  Heart disease and stroke account for over 1 million deaths in the U.S. each year - that’s about one death every 35 seconds.  CardioRisk Ultrasound testing is available at Suite1A and in 10 minutes you can know your risk of an attack in the next 5 years.

Sadly, you aren't really reassured on a routine doctor's physical exam, with a check of your blood pressure and a listen to your lungs, a couple of routine blood tests and you are told "we'll see you again in 6 months!"  Even a CATT scan can't tell you what you really want to know.  Almost 50% of all heart attack patients have “normal” cholesterol or blood lipids.

You qualify for the CardioRisk Scan if your family history includes heart attack, TIA, stroke, if you have hypertension, diabetes, smoking history, elevated blood lipids, or obesity.  Now you can know what your risk is and you'll receive a thorough consultation with recommendations to bring to your primary doctor for tests and interventions needed for further care.  We will even review suggested lifestyle changes, medications, nutrients and vitamins known to improve cardiovascular health!  At Suite 1A, we are excited to offer this valuable service to our community.

The CardioRisk Scan is exclusively available at Suite1A to the South Coast region.  A trained technician will perform the Ultrasound of the Carotid Artery.  Then, the system software will determine the IMT (thickness and type of plaque) providing numerical value indicators analyzed by the IMT Technical Center that can determine your risk of heart attack or stroke in the next 5 years.

We include a follow-up consultation to review your results and your individual plan with steps you can take to reduce your risk.  Call us at 508-679-7369 to make a reservation for yourself and the people you care about.  There are over 2000 medical journal articles supporting the development and use of this test for men and women to prevent unexpected deaths.  We are now booking appointments for April and May test dates!   Payment of $349 in advance is required.  The payment includes the CardioRisk Scan and follow-up consultation.  (We will provide you with coding numbers so you can submit for insurance reimbursement.)

One of our clients recently said, “I’ve had a heart attack and a stroke.  If I could have had this test first, maybe I could have prevented both!”

Know Your Hormones!

Our bodies require minute amounts of hormones, communicating between different organ systems, regulating our metabolism. Unfortunately, as we age some glands lose the ability to secrete adequate amounts of necessary hormones and we become out of balance.  Symptoms include rapid aging, easy fatigue, restless sleep, hot flashes, weight gain, impaired attention, even depression.  Surprisingly, men suffer from these problems as frequently as women, although this is less commonly recognized.  Self esteem goes down, muscle mass wanes, work stresses become overwhelming and confidence dwindles.  Hair thins, abdominal girth increases, women develop facial hair, and men may even develop breast enlargement.

Saliva Hormone testing is available at Suite1A.  The Comprehensive Panel includes Estradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA, and Cortisol, samples you easily collect yourself in the privacy of your own home.  We also test Growth Hormone, and Iodine (95% of Americans may be deficient in this essential mineral).  Followup consultations are required for all test kits to individualize treatment and alleviate those disturbing signs and symptoms.
