Generally we feel that our symptoms are all bad and we spend much of our lives avoiding them at all cost. The reality is, human beings will always have symptoms and pain at one time or another but our fear of them makes them worse.
Consider for a moment the possibility that many of your symptoms are actually your body’s way of drawing attention to problems in your life. Contemplating what these symptoms are telling you helps you to make the connection between your symptoms and the situations that may be causing them. You then have the option to change what can be changed or to make peace with what cannot. You don’t need to solve all your problems for symptoms to diminish or disappear; sometimes just paying attention is enough.
