1 cup of Crisco 3 cups of flour
1 ½ cups of sugar ¾ cup of thick sour milk
2 eggs beaten ½ teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
Sour Milk Topping
¼ cup vinegar ½ C. sugar
¾ cup of milk 1 teaspoon nutmeg
Blend Crisco and sugar, and then add beaten eggs. Add sour milk with baking soda dissolved in it and stir in flour sifted with salt. Drop by spoonfuls on greased pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350˚ for 10 minutes.
