It is always best to take medications as prescribed, but there are some patients who don’t respond well to traditional treatment or have a unique need or medical condition. Since commercially made medications are only available in limited strengths, forms and flavors, often a compounding pharmacy, such as PharmaHealth Pharmacy, is called on for a solution.
Custom Prepared Medications
At PharmaHealth Pharmacy we prepare customized medications for both our human and animal patients. We can change the medication form from a tablet to a liquid or even change the flavor. When patients can’t take medicine orally, many can be compounded into ointments or creams that can be absorbed through the skin.
We have the ability to make a variety of creams, ointments, gels, capsules, liquids, suspensions, sprays, suppositories and more. We can also prepare sugar-free and preservative-free formulations, as well as provide alternate dosage forms, both individual and combined dosages.
Preparations for Your Animals
Trying to administer medications to animals is not always easy. We can prepare medications in easy-to-give flavored dosages and forms that your animal will love! We have the ability to prepare just about any medication in flavors like tuna, cheese, beef and fish, to name a few. Some medications can even be made into a gel or ointment that is applied to your pet’s inner ear. As your pet cleans itself, he’ll also be taking his medication!

PharmaHealth will specially compound all of your BHRT medications at our 458 Dartmouth St., New Bedford location. All compounds can be mailed to patients who do not live locally.
