Trying Like Crazy To Achieve Fat Loss Results?

Health & Wellness

By Holly Rigsby

Stop Making It So Hard On Yourself!

If doing what it takes to get results feels like a daily struggle - then you need to step back and figure out why. Let me help you on this one...It's you.

Yes, you ARE trying to do something about it, this is wonderful and I am proud of you, but I have to be honest - if this is a tremendous struggle for you, you are making this all too hard! Many women start out like this...(see ww.FatLossForBusinesMoms.com if any of this sounds familiar…).

Pre-Fat Loss Plan

1. Wait for the perfect day

Must have sun, be warm, wake up happy, kids are out of the house, laundry has been folded, etc.

2. Cannot start healthy eating plan until you finish eating what you already have

3. Must lose some weight before exercising
Use the wish-hope-pray strategy and maybe mixed in with a fad diet, detox or pill.

The Fat Loss Plan

Now that the above criterion has been met you are ready to begin!

1. Nutrition Plan

You've calculated the EXACT # of calories as well as % of protein, carbs and fats and NOW you are struggling to actually EAT to match these numbers.

2. Exercise Plan

You are ready to go all out! Skipping any prep - going right to the advanced for best results - pushing as hard as you can, with highest reps and highest weights. You even increased the time you workout and have added in a few extra fat loss exercise plans just to make sure you are going to the Max! The goal is FAST results after all, right?

3. Motivation

Not exactly - what is being used at this point is willpower. When you have not accepted what this process is all about and why - you will find that you force yourself to do things - to workout, to choose carrots over candy bars - rather than understanding, accepting and appreciating WHY you are making these choices. It is typical to also practice a lot of negative self talk, using discouraging words about how you look, beating yourself up and making yourself feel guilty.

This all or nothing approach is simply an act of punishment! Can you predict what will happen in just 4 days....yep, many women do not even make it past one week!

We make it so hard on ourselves and set these expectation and restrictions so super high that we have no choice but to buckle! There is NO WAY you can continue to exercise hours and hours a week or adhere to a strict diet plan that makes you obsess over numbers or points.

What's the answer?

How DO you simplify it all? Any well rounded, fat loss plan is loaded with an overwhelming amount of information -including Fit Yummy Mummy –

Solution
- Take it one day at a time. Step by step. Inch by inch. Just focus on eating something for breakfast this week. Go for a walk and turn off the TV. Once you see you can do this, next week you will revise and refine. All good choices build upon one another. Each and every day you wake up making an effort to do a little bit better than the day before.

But everyone gets SO caught up in Instant Gratification! “I want to be thin and I want to be thin NOW!” …this approach does NOT work and it never will!!! You all know the story of the tortoise and the hare - What DOES work is simple, steady progress.

The small steps you take every day have more body fat burning and result getting power than eating the exact # of calories, the right balance of macronutrients, doing enough cardio, staying challenged with your resistance training program, drinking enough water, eating too much fruit, etc. If you are driving yourself crazy with all this - you will not follow it.

Are you thinking...."yeah, right!" Are you doubtful that anything GOOD can come from this approach?

Forward Momentum is what creates results.

Positive steps move you forward, as you see for yourself, you CAN do this. And, as you realize how much better you FEEL, those steps begin to multiply right along with your results.
