Waltz Away the Winter
Ballroom dancing is a fun indoor activity for everyone!
Looking for something new to help keep you active even though the temperature has dropped and the trees are bare? Then you should try ballroom dancing! Dance lessons are a fun indoor activity that not only can help keep you fit during the colder months, but are also a fun way to meet new people and learn a valuable social skill!
Even if you think you have two left feet and no rhythm, you can learn to look and feel comfortable on the social dance floor. Our instructors are skilled in working with people of all levels and abilities, and we can get you up and moving on your very first lesson.
What Can I Learn?
At a Fred Astaire Dance Studio, you can learn any dance that you may use at a party, nightclub, wedding, or other social event… from the foxtrot, waltz, and tango, to the faster beats of the swing and salsa -- and everything in between!
Who Do You Teach?
Our students are of all ages and abilities, ranging from absolute beginners to veteran competitors and from ages eight to 88. And, you can take lessons with or without a partner. In fact, sometimes it is better to learn on your own so that you can spend 100% of your lesson working on you.
What Do I Wear?
Dress comfortably and avoid restrictive clothing (such as a long tight skirt). Avoid shoes that may slip off easily while dancing (such as mules or flip-flops) as well as sneakers - they tend to stick to the floor.
How Do I Get Started?
We offer a two-lesson Introductory Course that will introduce you to our studio, the styles of dance we teach, and our unique teaching methods. After this course you will have a better idea of which dances you want to learn and how you can continue at our studio.
You’ll never know how fun learning to dance can be unless you walk into our studio and dance out!
