Dr. Mark X. Lowney

Dr. Mark X. Lowney is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist with over 20 years of surgical experience.  He is a graduate of the Brown University affiliated Woman & Infant’s Hospital of Rhode Island.  He received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and graduated magna cum laude from Boston College where he received a BS in biology.

For over the past 10 years, Dr Lowney has trained all over the United States with world famous cosmetic surgeons where he has learned the art of advanced body contouring with SmartLipo laser body sculpting, autologous fat transfer with platelet rich plasma to breasts and buttocks (Brazilian Butt Lift), standard and Avelar tummy tucks, “natural look” breast augmentation with subpectoral saline and silicone breast implants, all of which are performed under local anesthesia.  He also specializes in the art of non-invasive facial rejuvenation with Botox, Restylane, Juvaderm, and Radiesse fillers, Melanage Peels, Pelleve Radiofrequency Skin Tightening, and Laser Hair Removal.

He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the International Society of Cosmetogynecology, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Medical Association.

He is a board member of A Woman’s Concern Pregnancy Resource Center and medical director of CareNet Rhode Island.  He is a devoted husband and father of 5 children and enjoys third world medicine as a volunteer for the Haitian Health Foundation.
