Osteoporosis is one of the major health concerns for menopausal women.  Generally, osteopenia and osteoporosis are diagnosed via a dexa scan which measures bone density.


Actually, bones are comprised of minerals in a collagen matrix.  The minerals give your bone density; the collagen gives your bone flexibility.  Bone density does not equal bone strength which is why drugs such as biophosphates have failed miserably.
